Crescendo CVO

"A heartwarming moment was the Christmas party with the students at Crescendo CVO. The openness of the students was truly special and made me feel like I belonged."

"Few expats speak Portuguese. Those who do, like me, are sometimes thanked for it here."

"My dream is to get my diploma and work in a care home. The fact that we also learn Dutch in this programme is an extra motivation for me."

"Although I can follow the NT2 course well, learning Dutch is quite difficult. In Ukrainian, we don’t have articles. Making sentences in Dutch is really complicated. The lessons are very useful because I am learning Dutch specifically for technical professions. That will help me find a great job in the future."

“I can already read and write fluently, and I just try to keep speaking, even if it goes a bit slower sometimes. All my colleagues support and help me, both with the language and with the work.”

"I feel much prouder. Now I follow all my lessons in Dutch, and I’m really happy about that!"

"My advice? Start learning Dutch as soon as possible. I waited a year and now I regret it; maybe I would be a year further along."

"You can really see the learners grow. They speak up spontaneously and dare to make mistakes. They also use French more often outside the classroom. To me, that's the sign that it works."

“Dutch has very straightforward and simple rules, similar to English. I’m genuinely amazed and progressing quickly by doing all the exercises provided by the school.”
