Who is it for?

  • You are the parent of one or more children in primary school (kindergarten included).
  • You would like to learn additional Dutch that is relevant to your child's school.
  • You want to be able to communicate in the school language with the teacher and other parents.
  • You already speak some Dutch. You have reached level 1.1 in the NT2 class or a comparable LIGO level.


What?

  • Dutch lessons at your child's school, in collaboration with other parents.
  • You will learn more about what's happening at school while practicing your Dutch.
  • You will also do things in and with the class: tell stories or read aloud; help play a game; decorate the room or prepare a party; join on an excursion.
  • For example, you may visit the Zaventem library and learn about the sociocultural activities.
  • The teacher will help you with parent-teacher meetings and all kinds of forms.
  • For a maximum of 15 students.


Where?

In a classroom at your child's primary school.

When?

  • 1 day of classes per week during your child's school day (the schedule depends on the school)
  • throughout the school year in 2 lesson series:
    • 1st lesson series: week of September 29, 2025 to week of February 2, 2026
    • 2nd lesson series (subject to change): week of February 9, 2026 to week of June 15, 2026

How to register?

  • Sign the registration form with our teacher or at the office of our Crescendo CVO campus, Hoogstraat 50, 1930 Zaventem.
  • You are already known to the Agency for Integration and Civic Participation. Please inquire about this at your child's school. Otherwise, you will have a short interview with them. (We will help you organize this if necessary.)
