Study trip to Naples: experience Italian in Naples!

See Naples and die… because after discovering this extraordinary city, you cannot expect to see anything more beautiful.

You truly get to know a language when you speak it, hear it and experience it. That is why Crescendo CVO is organising a unique study trip to Naples from 24 to 30 January 2027 for students of Italian.

For an entire week, we will immerse ourselves in the Italian language and culture. In the mornings, we will explore the city and its lively neighbourhoods. In the afternoons, we will take part in interactive lessons on gastronomy, literature, history and cinema, among other topics. All activities will be conducted in Italian and adapted to different language levels.

From making pizza with a real pizzaiolo to descending into the Galleria Borbonica: during this trip, everything you learn in class will truly come to life.

Programme

Sunday 24 January – Benvenuti a Napoli!

Arrival in Naples and check-in at the four-star NH Napoli Panorama hotel.

Monday 25 January – A first introduction to the city

9.00 a.m. to 12 noon
Guided introductory walk through Naples’ historic centre.

3.00 to 6.00 p.m.
Interactive lesson on Neapolitan gastronomy, featuring texts and stories about local culinary traditions. We will finish with a practical Neapolitan pizza workshop led by a professional pizzaiolo.

Tuesday 26 January – Everyday Naples and cinema

9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
Guided tour of the Sanità district, focusing on the social changes that have shaped the neighbourhood.

3.00 to 6.00 p.m.
Language and culture lesson about Naples in cinema and literature. How did the city become such a popular film location?

Wednesday 27 January – Procida

Participants will have the opportunity to join an excursion to the island of Procida. This excursion is not included in the participation fee.

Thursday 28 January – Traditions and superstitions

Morning
Free time for individual excursions.

3.00 to 6.00 p.m.
Language and culture lesson about Neapolitan traditions and superstitions.

Friday 29 January – Bourbon Naples

10.00 a.m. to 12 noon
Historical tour of underground Naples, including a visit to the Galleria Borbonica.

3.00 to 6.00 p.m.
Language and culture lesson about the splendour and contradictions of Bourbon Naples.

Saturday 30 January – Arrivederci Napoli!

Return to Belgium.
