This year, Crescendo CVO is not taking part in Heritage Day by opening its workshops. Despite the beauty and craftsmanship of our workspaces, there was not enough support this year to organise this together with colleagues.
But we are not letting heritage and humour pass us by.
Inspired by the theme of Heritage Day 2026 – humour – our NT2 teachers explored heritage in a playful way in the classroom. Together with their learners, they practised tongue twisters: short, rhythmic language exercises that combine language skills with fun, concentration, and often a liberating laugh.
Tongue twisters are more than just funny sentences. They are playful language exercises that help with pronunciation, rhythm, and enjoyment of language. And yes—there was a lot of laughter.
This enjoyment of language became the starting point for a creative communication idea. We combined a selection of these tongue twisters with images from our craft training programmes, such as natural stone working and wood carving. The result is a series of visual creations in which:
· playful language
· artisanal heritage
· and the Crescendo motto “learn and experience”
reinforce one another.
Our intern within the Communication team also explored our extensive image library and found additional inspiration that fits perfectly with this approach.

We are happy to share a selection of these tongue twisters here. From 26 April onwards, they will also come to life on our social media channels, where language, humour, and craftsmanship continue to meet — each time with a different wink.

Anyone who would like to experience our workshops in person is warmly invited to our information evening on 4 June. On that day, we will open our doors and show how craftsmanship is passed on today: with care, precision, and passion.
Heritage lives in words and in hands — and sometimes in language that makes you smile.
