On April 23, the Crescendo CVO campus in Mechelen was transformed into a place where not only classes were given, but where people also moved and explored. The outdoor learning day took place at the Mechelen campus (Vaartdijk 86). Between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, students and visitors were able to take part in various outdoor activities.
Crescendo CVO collaborated with the Social Policy Department of the City of Mechelen and several local partners for this event. Together, they organized a health market where people could find ideas on how to take better care of themselves.
There was plenty to do in the playground. Visitors and students could test their fitness, attend short sessions on oral hygiene, and receive tips on how to be more active in daily life. Nutrition was also covered, with simple explanations and easy recipes that everyone can use at home. In addition, a circus group provided playful movement exercises where fun and activity came together.
Crescendo CVO looks back on this enjoyable day full of learning, movement, and togetherness with a positive feeling.
During the Health Market event, I assisted Meri as a communication intern.
I had the opportunity to take photos of the Health Market and also helped people who came to our stand with their questions. The students mainly asked questions about the courses and what level they needed to follow other programs. They were very interested in the different courses.
I noticed that people really enjoyed the various activities they could participate in, such as movement exercises where they were very active. It was nice to see everyone participating so enthusiastically. I also found it funny that some students still recognized me from the pancake workshop.
I enjoyed taking part in the event.
Below you can see some photos of the Health Market.
