"One of my best friends is Russian. She has been living in Belgium since she was thirteen and speaks perfect French. Yet, I can tell that Russian remains the language of her heart. Whenever I speak even a small Russian word, I see how happy it makes her. That motivated me to learn a bit of Russian. Also, so that I can communicate better with her parents, as they never learned French."
"It took me a while to find a suitable Russian course. I was specifically looking for an online course because I don’t feel comfortable in a class with twenty other students. But everywhere, only in-person lessons were offered. On top of that, many courses were either very expensive or not at my level. I really needed a beginner level (A1). Luckily, I finally found the online courses at Crescendo CVO: with A1 level and also affordable. I’m so happy about that!"
"The grammar is quite challenging, but I’m really glad I can ask the teacher questions. I’m certain I wouldn’t have learned as quickly in another way, for example, using an app. Yesterday, I tried out a few sentences with my friend’s father for the first time. A big smile immediately appeared on his face. It turned into a conversation lasting more than two hours in a mix of French, English, and Russian. I’m so happy that I got to learn part of his life story this way. Even in the age of AI, learning a new language is definitely worth it. Culture and human connection cannot be replaced by AI or Google Translate."
