"I work in the Quality Development, Early Support, and Professionalization teams at Crescendo CVO. For the first time, I’m taking a class myself: Spanish during lunch. I love holidays in Spain, I have Spanish-speaking friends, and I think Spanish is a beautiful language. Languages come naturally to me: due to my studies, I can speak English, French, and German quite well. An evening course wasn’t possible with my family and job, but an online Spanish lesson during lunch is a fun way to pick up the language. Online, you may not speak as much, but our teacher Merce encourages everyone to practice."
"After the first basic module, you get a grasp of the language’s basics and logic, and introducing yourself is manageable. Practicing and preparing for class is expected. I set aside half an hour a week for homework: practicing via BookWidgets is enjoyable. When the lesson’s PowerPoint is available online, I look up difficult words in advance. Other students invest more time. At this point, the class is a fun extra for me. With more practice, I could definitely get more out of it. As extra motivation, a trip to Spain would help. Teaching online seems challenging: you have to combine technical skills with didactics. Merce is excellent at it, considering everyone’s language level and being patient. The lessons are logically structured, and the method is solid."
